It started with good intentions but quickly got boring. So seriously, make an internet uturn right now and go read something interesting.

update
good stuff. 460 in profit for May. But I had a "memorial day sale" so that padded the numbers big time.

yeah yeah i know
this blog sucks. I post rarely.
Things are looking good. My new job has uncovered some amazing adwords techniques that got my clicks down to under 10 cents per click and a Click-Through Rate of over 1.5%.
Stats I used to fantasize about as being impossible.

upsell
I added a simple upsell before people buy that a lot of folks are taking. An extra $17 per sale for 20% of my buyers is pretty cool. I wonder how far I can stretch that amount before people decide to not go with it. I have heard some people say it needs to be about 30-35% of the product price for the upsell to be effective.

more momentum
Moving forward bit by bit.
List up to about 2400 people.
Returns staying near 7-8% (good number)
conversion rate around 2.5% (freaking great number)
Bigger and bigger gap between sales and ad spend (That's a good thing)
Still predicting 6 months until I can replace my current income. Provided these numbers stay consistent.
What needs work:
opt in rate is only 15-17%. I want 20+
I need more content emails. I am recycling too many which will create more unsubscribes.
But still Ive come a long way in a year.

1 month stats
Okay going back exactly one month to December 4th I have hit the $1000 mark in gross sales.
A couple refunds and my ad costs eats up most of that but I still walked away with a couple hundred in profit. Its not the upward sloping graph I assumed it would be but its still looking good.
So much to do to optimize everything but just not enough time with work, music and life.

focus
Anyone who knows me will attest to my erratic attention span. Its done a number on things like grades, relationships, my finances you name it. But nights like last night are interesting to me. When I get into a project... And I mean really get into it, I can sit in one place for literally 8 hours and maintain hyper focus the entire time. I dont get up once. I dont turn away for a few minutes. Time disappears.
That happened last night. I am working on a sales letter and i fell into that zone. I started around 9:30 and didnt break focus until 2:30am. Hours of hyper focus and productivity. It amazes myself when it happens and I wish I could bottle it up.
We'll see if its a wasted 5 hours when I roll it out to my list.
